Le Panama Canal College (PCC) a été créé en 1935 dans la zone du canal de Panama, un territoire destiné aux militaires des États-Unis d'Amérique. Il a été chapeauté sous l'autorité des États-Unis sur le canal de Panama et a reçu le statut régional accrédité. L'institution a été réorganisée en 1958, une division du Collège du canal de Panama a été renommée Université Ashdod. Le Dr Yoval Gorovitz et Mme Natalia Simpson sont devenus président et prévôt et ils ont préconisé le programme d'études sur les questions théoriques et pérennes. Leurs rêves sont devenus une réalité avec une institution juive d'enseignement supérieur à consacrer aux arts et aux sciences humaines et à éduquer les étudiants à l'horreur de l'Holocauste. Ils ont reçu le soutien de la Jewish Education Foundation pour dispenser des cours aux juifs et aux non-juifs dans la zone du canal de Panama aux États-Unis. En 1999, l'UCEA a été reconnue par le gouvernement panaméen lorsque le gouvernement des États-Unis a transféré la zone du canal de Panama au gouvernement panaméen. Nous avons été reconnus par un accord d'articulation de l '«Universidad de Panama». L'université d'Ashdod est devenue une institution supérieure confessionnelle autonome. L'Université centrale d'Ashdod est reconnue par la Commission juive de l'éducation (JCE) pour décerner des programmes de baccalauréat, de maîtrise et de doctorat. JCE est un organisme d'accréditation indépendant et agréé par le gouvernement, spécialisé dans l'accréditation des collèges, universités et prestataires d'enseignement à distance en ligne en France et à l'étranger. Il garantit l'intégrité de l'enseignement de premier cycle et des cycles supérieurs. La Fondation pour l'éducation juive (JEF) et la Fondation du Collège hébreu (HCF) offrent des bourses d'études et des subventions à nos étudiants, à nos professeurs et à la communauté en général. L'Université est composée du Collège hébreu, de divers programmes d'études supérieures et de comités interdisciplinaires organisés en cinq divisions de recherche académique et sept écoles professionnelles.
Our History The Panama Canal College (PCC) was established in 1935 in the Panama Canal Zone, a territory to serve the Servicemembers of the United States of America. It was chaptered under the United States Panama Canal Authority and received regionally accredited status. The institution was re-organized in 1958, a division of the Panama Canal College was renamed as Ashdod University. Dr. Yoval Gorovitz and Mrs. Natalia Simpson became President and Provost and they advocated the curriculum upon theoretical and perennial issues. Their dreams became a reality with a Jewish Higher Learning Institution to dedicate to the Arts and Humanities and to educate students in the horror of the Holocaust. They received the support from the Jewish Education Foundation to provide classes to Jews and Non-Jews alike in the United States Panama Canal Zone. In 1999, UCEA was recognized by the Panamanian Government when the United States Government transferred the Panama Canal Zone to the Panamanian Government. We were recognized by an articulation agreement by the “Universidad de Panama”. University of Ashdod became an autonomous faith-based higher institution. The University Central of Ashdod is recognized by Jewish Commission on Education (JCE) to award baccalaureate, master and doctoral programs. JCE is an independent, government approved accreditation body specializing in the accreditation of Jewish colleges, universities and online distance education providers in France and overseas. It ensures the integrity of undergraduate and graduate education. Jewish Educational Foundation (JEF) and Hebrew College Foundation (HCF) provide tuition scholarships and grants to our students, faculty and the community at-large. The University is composed of the Hebrew College, various graduate programs and interdisciplinary committees organized intro five academic research divisions and seven professional schools.
